Announcement of New RISE Camps

This week’s blog post is simply an announcement of RISE’s off-season softball/baseball training camps! With Fall Ball winding down, now is the time to improve your youngster’s athleticism in preparation for the 2020 playing season. The camps will be broken down into 3 distinct periods throughout the Fall and Winter, with each period focusing on different aspects of athleticism. The goal is to quantitatively improve speed, strength, stamina, suppleness, and skill for your athlete!

A foundational concept behind the training is to collect data on the performance of your athlete in order to educate sport coaches, parents, and players on the best way to train and prepare your softball/baseball player. A combination of performance testing in the RISE Lab (vertical jump, flying 10-yard time, etc.) and sport-specific testing (pitching velocity, bat speed, number of hits), RISE will work to find relationships between performance and sport. Have your kids be a part of the evolution of sports science to help your kids be more athletic, safe, healthy, and confident!

More information on the camps can be found here. Registration for Camp #1 starting in October can be found here.
